Penthouse, that extends over the entire 21st floor, was sold for the highest amount, in the Territory of New York, last week. This building, built in the Art Deco style, was purchased in 2011 by Macklowe Properties and CIM Group. Former 104 apartments, that were for rent, they turned into 56 luxury apartments for sale with the help of Handel Architects. Last year they asked $39.5 Million for penthouse.
The apartment, which has 558 sq m, is sold “empty”, ie without interior walls and finishing works. It contains only wood-burning fireplace, skylight size 2.5 x 10.2 meters, a terrace of 211 m², which extends around the entire apartment, and a roof terrace of 350 m², that overlooking on Central Park, Park Avenue and, in essence, the entire district. Monthly costs for future tenants will amount to 12,965 dollars. As stated in Macklowe Properties, the buyer is from New York and apparently penthouse was bought with the intention of permanent home.
