P&O Cruises‘ newest additions Pacific Aria and Pacific Eden will debut this November, bringing a whole new level of holiday to your holiday. The two 1500-passenger ships which will be unveiled at the Sydney Harbour are set to have extensive makeovers – sophisticated, understated décor, a new-look Waterfront restaurant and spa baths in the top suites.
There will be everything for everyone, such as age-specific kids’ clubs Turtle Cove (ages three to six), Shark Shack (ages seven to ten), and HQ and HQ+ for young and older teens. On board will also be Marquee Theatre, Dome and P&O Edge Adventure Park, two pools, one on the Lido Deck and one in the adults-only Oasis on the top deck. The Oasis has a retractable roof and is designed to be a lovely place to relax during the day and a sophisticated night spot after dark.
The Open Kitchen will host a cooking school as well as dining, and another new addition, the Cellar Door, offers wine-tastings. Bars and lounges include the popular MIX cocktail bar, the new Luke Mangan Salt grill and Bar, and the Dome, which comes alive at nights with music, dancing and comedy shows.
P&O Cruises is replacing the traditional buffet area on Pacific Aria and Pacific Eden with The Pantry, a collection of fresh-food outlets. These include a gourmet delicatessen, modern restaurants and good old fish and chips. The new restaurants include Dragon Lady, which will serve Pan-Asian cuisine and Angelo’s, an elegant Italian restaurant offering traditional dishes. Salt grill by Luke Mangan is back by popular demand, as is the Chef’s Table – an exclusive dining experience for up to 14 people in the Waterfront’s private wine room.
The main dining room, The Waterfront Restaurant, will continue to serve classic and contemporary Australian cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and the updated decor will be a stylish combination of natural wood and soft, subtle colour schemes.
From November 2015, Pacific Eden will cruise from Fremantle, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Cairns and Singapore, while Pacific Aria will sail out of Sydney and Brisbane.
