Land Rover Defender has made a special model to mark the production of 2-million units in Solihull factory in the UK. Production at the plant began in early 1947 with a model series I and after almost seven decades has reached a number of two million copies produced models of Land Rover Series (Series I, II, III) and Defender model, which officially bears the name since 1990.
In the vehicle in Silver Satin color stands out more details, such as folders Red Wharf Bay, where is the original model drawn in the sand, or badge “no 2,000,000” and Santorini Black elements on the wheels, grille, mirrors, fenders… Inside is the eye-catching black leather seats with embossed “Red Wharf Bay” graphics and “no 2,000,000” logo on the headrests, the badge with the words “2,000,000” …
Land Rover announces that this Defender will be presented at the upcoming Goodwood Festival of Speed event, and on 16 December this year will be offered at Bonhams auction. In December, the Land Rover also stops the production of the current Defender, while the successor will arrive during 2018.
