Miu Miu unveils its first ever fragrance – which is set to hit counters in September. Prada was creatively involved with the creation of Miu Miu’s first scent – helping to select elements such as the bottle’s shape and colour. Aptly named Miu Miu, the new scent contains a “lily of the valley note, made by mixing jasmine with rose absolute and some green notes.” Akigalawood adds woodsy, peppery accents. According to WWD, Givaudan perfumer Daniela Andrier, who helped create the scent, used a Miu Miu dress from Fall 2011 with embroidered lilies of the valley as inspiration.
Miu Miu’s first fragrance, is “unique, youthful, colorful and sophisticated,” said Caroline Javoy, group vice president of marketing for the label at Coty.
French-English Actress Stacy Martin is the face of brand’s first-ever fragrance. She has already appeared in two of the brand’s fashion campaigns in the past.
The perfume will hit iconic British department store – Harrods in August, followed by Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman in the U.S in September, before launching worldwide the same month.
