Magnificent New York City penthouse of late, Emmy-winning comedian Joan Rivers has finally found its buyer, for its full asking price of $28 million. The 5,100-square-foot triplex penthouse just steps from Fifth Avenue features Central Park views from floor-to-ceiling windows. Known as The Spencer Condominium, the fantastically posh penthouse has four bedrooms and five bathrooms. Updated and completely modernized, the opulent home also features a ballroom with gilded columns 23-foot ceilings, a gourmet eat-in kitchen and three wood-burning fireplaces.
The pre-war building even includes a private elevator that goes straight to the penthouse.
Though the buyer is not officially named, some rumors say that the ornate East 62nd Street penthouse has been sold to someone from Middle East royalty.
Rivers had relisted the apartment many times over the years, most recently in 2012 at $29.5 million.
