Sarah Jessica Parker has finally found a buyer for her Greenwich Village townhouse, after nearly three years on the market and several price cuts. Although the final price has not yet been confirmed, NY Daily News speculates the new owners paid $20 million. The “Sex and the City” star and her Broadway-star husband Mathhew Broderick purchased the stately 1846 building at 20 E. 10th St., between Fifth Ave. and University Pl., in March 2011 for $18,995,000 and invested more in updates and other changes in addition to the restoration done by the previous owners.
The 6,800-square-foot property, a spectacular Greek Revival-style townhouse has six bedrooms and five full and three half baths, seven fireplaces, a nearly 25-by-10-foot private terrace overlooking a landscaped garden, and a hand-carved stone tub.
The listing brokers, Fredrik Eklund and John Gomes of Douglas Elliman Real Estate, were unavailable to comment on the transaction.
