After successful launch of his brass Form Tea Set in 2013, British designer Tom Dixon is extending his aesthetic to coffee with a set of copper-covered items for brewing and serving coffee. Dubbed Brew, this coffee set is designed to include all the tools needed for making the caffeinated drink. “The range includes a piece to perfect every stage of the coffee ritual, from the push of the plunger to the dunk of the biscuit,” said a statement from Dixon.
The set includes a tin for storing coffee beans or grounds, a scoop, a cafetiere, a stovetop espresso maker, a milk pan, espresso cups, a biscuit tin and a serving tray. All pieces are created from stainless steel and given a high-gloss finish from a film of vaporized copper.
Due to release in September, the Brew collection is part of the Tom Dixon Accessories collection, for which the furniture designer takes inspiration from British heritage to create home products, gifts and design objects in resilient and heavyweight materials such as copper, marble, cast iron, brass and wood.
