Ferrari 488 GTB model in coupe edition was presented in early March at the Geneva Motor Show, while its Spider version (ie 488 Spider) will have premiere in September at the fair in Frankfurt. Until then, here are the first official images, video clip and basic facts. Like 488 GTB, and 488 Spider (with movable hardtop that opens / closes in 14 seconds) is powered by 3.9-liter V8 twin-turbo engine with 492 kW / 670Hp at 8000 r / min. and 760 Nm of torque at 3000 r / min. The engine is paired with seven-speed transmission with double clutch, drive is to the rear wheels, and there are F1-Trac and E-Diff.

According to the factory data, 488 Spider weighs 1420 kg (50 kg more than 488 GTB coupe), which is 10 kg less than 458 Spider model.
Ferrari otherwise in its press for 488 Spider emphasizes that it is aerodynamically most efficient Ferrari Spider ever made.
Sales should begin by the end of the year, but the price isn’t stated in the news.
