A Martha’s Vineyard home, which was rented by President Barack Obama and his family in the summer of 2013, is on the market for $22.5 million. This beautiful estate is located on a high ridge overlooking the ocean and, according to WSJ, the Chilmark property has a private road and is on more than 9 acres. This 6,967-square-foot home designed by Seattle architect Rick Sundberg and landscape was imagined by Steve Stimson.
It has four bedrooms, as well as a gym and floor-to-ceiling windows. The master suite has a study with a fireplace, his and hers bathrooms, and a private deck with one of the home’s five outdoor showers. It also features a gourmet kitchen with a walk-in butler’s pantry and T.V.
On the grounds, there is an infinity-edge pool, a guest house with two bedrooms, an outdoor kitchen and a basketball court and, as previously mentioned, five outdoor showers.
What drew the Obama family to the property, apart from the luxurious, private estate, was the rural town’s seclusion.
The home is owned by Obama supporters David and Patricia Schulte.
