The main star at the Silverstone auctions, which will be held in Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire in England on 4 September, will be a true rarity, Aston Martin “DB4” from 1963 in perfect condition. It is expected that Aston Martin ”DB4 Series V Vantage” will fetch between 675.000 to 775,000 pounds or about $1Million to $1.2Million. This copy has the original Goodwood Green color and red interior, and is considered to be one of only 50 made in this specification and one of only three “Series V Vantage” model with automatic ‘Borg Warner’ transmission.
Aston Martin produced “DB4” from October 1958 to June 1963 and in this period they created five different shapes and specifications. This model has the chassis number # 1197, and was one of the last DB4’s to roll off the production line before the British firm started making the DB5. The final DB4 chassis number was #1215L.
