Mercedes S-Class Coupe have had its premiere at last year’s Geneva Motor Show, and now, Mercedes has officialy unveiled Convertible version. Mercedes will use the upcoming Motor Show in Frankfurt to present to the public the car that was announced as “the most luxurious convertible in the world.” Mercedes S-Class Convertible has the same length as the S Coupe, 5027 mm, width 1899 mm and height 1417 mm.
Will be available 4.7-liter V8 twin-turbo engine with 455Hp and 700 Nm, and 5.5-liter V8 twin-turbo with 585Hp and 900 Nm of torque, paired with 9-speed 9G-Tronic automatic transmission for S500 Convertible and 7-speed AMG Speedshift for S63 AMG Cabrio. S-Class Cabrio will have rear-wheel drive as standard, with optional 4Matic all-wheel drive.
New Mercedes S-Class Cabrio, among others, boasts a magic ride system, the new head-up display, adaptive headlights, a semi-autonomous Distronic Plus system with the assistance of management, infrared night vision and much more.
New S500 Convertible will cost 122,154 euros($137,700), and the S63 AMG Cabrio 171,360 euros($193,200).
The cars will have a luxurious interior with premium leather, wood, metallic accents, heated seats, armrest with heating, automatic “intelligent” climate control system, as well as Airscarf and Aircap systems. Mercedes will start to receive orders for the S-Class Cabrio in December, and the first deliveries are scheduled for the spring next year.
