These images of a remarkable submersible island have been released by the engineers and designers from Migaloo Private Submersible Yacht company. World’s only island for private superyachts and ubmarines, dubbed Kokomo Island will be launched at the Monaco Yacht Show September 23. With a length overall of 117m, a beam of 78m and an adjustable draft of 20.5 – 9,7m, the island is designed to be used in tandem with a Migaloo superyacht submarine or mini subs.
The adjustable draft allows the vessel not only to navigate into and out of shallow waters but also recover submarines in underwater docks removing the task of lifting mini subs out of the water.
Some of the superyacht island features are a spectacular owner’s penthouse 80m above sea level with a jungle deck, palm trees and verticle gardens. The beach deck provides a swimming pool, garden deck for outdoor dining, large pools and waterfalls, two beach clubs, a stunning underwater dining saloon and massive storage for tenders and toys. The design features state-of-the-art megayacht amenities and the dramatic flair of an exotic island.
Models include features and amenities of surface yachts, from spa areas with Jacuzzis and pools, helipads and large beach terraces and tender bays for boats and mini-subs, though the vessels can be totally personalized to the customer’s taste in size, shape and features. All of the specifications meet the USA Navy Subsafe safety standards.
