Dolce & Gabanna is honoring to Italian screen legend Sophia Loren by creating a limited-edition lipstick inspired by her iconic beauty. Sophia Loren N°1, the lipstick D&G calls a “loving tribute to the Italian beauty icon,” has deep pink undertones, making it more subtle than a true red lip. The resulting shade is a sheer cherry that leaves lips moisturized and glossy – a hue that works for all seasons. In typical D&G form, the lipstick is rose scented and comes housed in a gold tube, this time signed by Sophia herself, who also stars in the campaign.

The designers paid tribute to their inspiration in a statement, declaring “Sophia Loren N°1 is our way of saying ‘Thank you, Sophia. … Thank you for being a world favorite, thank you for being an icon of the big screen and of Italian beauty.'”
