Nearly two years ago, Disney announced plans for a massive re-imagination of Downtown Disney called Disney Springs. Now, the popular Walt Disney World hotspot is officially re-opened and didn’t get only a new name, but also a new look and new additions. The name change was made during a special ceremony at Waterview Park, adjacent to Jock Lindsey’s Hangar bar, which is notorious for its Indiana Jones theme. The new Morimoto Asia restaurant opens Wednesday and will feature a menu designed by Iron Chef Mashaharu Morimoto.

The Disney Springs project is expected to be finished next year. When it is complete, officials say it will be double the size of Downtown Disney and will expand from 75 to more than 150 shopping, dining and entertainment venues, featuring some of the world’s most iconic brands and restaurants. The attraction will still be free and not require admission or parking fees to enter. Disney transportation will provide buses and water taxis to and from Disney Springs to Walt Disney World resort areas.
