The World’s heaviest Gold Ring is the Najmat Taiba (Star of Taiba) created by Taiba for Gold and Jewellery Co. Ltd. of Saudi Arabia. The Ring is mounted with 5.17 Kilogram of Swarovski precious stones from Signity Middle East and set on a 58.686 Kilogram 21 Carat Gold Ring, supported by World Gold Council, U.A.E. with a total weight of 63.856 Kilograms. This largest gold ring cost around 547,000 US Dollar to make 15 years ago when the gold cost was $250 per ounce.
Now this ring cost over 3 million US Dollar (11 million UAE Dirham) since the gold price has gone up in the market over 1500 US Dollar per ounce. Fifty-five workers worked 45 days for 10 hours a day to make this piece.
All visitors to the upcoming Middle East Watch & Jewellery exhibition at Expo Centre Sharjah, will have the opportunity to see this holder of Guiness Book of World Records as the world’s heaviest gold ring.
