DB4 Zagato is an priceless copy of the car, but believe it or not, is not the rarest Aston Martin ever made. Though there were only 19 made by the Italian company, it is still 18 more copies in comparison with the unique DB9 Zagato. But, this does not make him any less valuable. Due to its rarity, popularity and design, DB4 Zagato is the most expensive Aston Martin, and this copy is expected to fetch 10 Million pounds or about $15.5 Million at Sotheby’s RM auction.
The car was designed by Ercole Spada, and is lighter and improved in relation to the DB4 GT version with 3.7 engine and 318 Hp. Italian design, coupled with the British elegance makes this model one of the best designs in automotive history. Many would say that this is the most beautiful car that was designed by Zagato.
The car on the upcoming auction was 14 made in the series, and was delivered new to Australia and raced with great success. Later, the car was sold in the UK, and was completely restored with the help of a specialist Richard Williams in the Zagato plant.
