As the new Bond movie, Spectre, breaks records in the U.K., rich fans of the 007 agent can now get their hands on a timely memorabilia piece. The vintage Rolex Submariner that had a starring role in the James Bond movie “Live and Let Die” is set to go under the hammer on November 7 at Phillips in Geneva. The stainless steel Rolex Submariner 5513 was made in 1972 and shot to fame a year later when Roger Moore used its to cut through rope, to deflect bullets and even to unzip the dress of Bond Girl Miss Caruso, played by Madeline Smith.
The timepiece, signed ‘Roger Moore 007′ on the inside case, is expected to fetch at least 150,000 Swiss francs (about $150,000).
The watch sale will also feature five Rolex Paul Newman Daytona watches made in the 1960s.
