The first AK47 designer chair by artist Rainer Weber isn’t only the unique piece of furniture, but also real throne for men. This unique chair is made of six original, used AK47 Kalashnikovs which are completely dismantled and welded into one unit, to create the amazing frame. It is made of genuine four stb AK47 featuring a fixed stock and two stb AK47, which were used as the front chair leg and the arm rests. All parts are chrome before reassembly.
The armrests and backrests have been ordered at Backhousen in Vienna and were hand woven in Venice at the Luigi Bevilacqua. The original handles were given black treatment, while the other wooden parts treated with a special kind of lacquer. The cartridge belt was manufactured in a special way in order to hold the original, chrome-plated AK47 cartridges.
Original Russian steel helmet, which is also chrome-plated, with leather interior, an additional treat that you get if you buy AK47 chair. Renie Webber decided that all the details and L-sections must be wrapped in leather, giving this chair even more powerful appearance.
The artist who designed the concept of these incredible chair, is fascinated by the design, technology and functionality, and has always wanted to create a unique piece of furniture. As he says, the idea for the creation of this chair, is inspired by the book of Mikhail Kalashnikov, who is known as the creator of these weapons, which are still used today.
