Since 1998, Louis Vuitton have been producing unique guides to some of the world’s best cities. This year, as well as adding four more cities to their collection (Bangkok, Chicago, Prague and Rome), they now follow new trends by releasing an app, which like a book provide useful info and addresses for hotels, restaurants, cultural districts and night life, all at the touch of a screen. Offering the best possible travel experience for Apple devices users only, to start with, the new app covers each of the 25 cities listed in the guidebook series from all around the world with an unrivaled selection of 12,000 addresses.
To get more in touch with the cities, each app features a notable guest contributor sharing his or her personal experiences and recommendations in the city, like interior designer Faye Toogood for London, or actor/director Guillaume Gallienne and his wife for Paris.
To celebrate their app, they’ve also released a range of leather iPhone and iPad cases in their iconic monogram pattern: interiors come in four colours inspired by Paris (blue), Rome (yellow), Beijing (red) and Tokyo (pink), as well as a 15-city box set for the books.
The City Guides apps is available on the App Store for iPhone and iPad, with the Paris guide being offered for free until December 31.
