Cameron Diaz recently tied the knot with rocker Benji Madden and is now selling her Manhattan apartment where she spent her single years. The asking price is $4.25 million. The 43-year-old actress (believe or not) paid $2.95 million for the prewar 12th Street home in 2008, and then renovated it with the help of West Coast interior designer Kelly Wearstler.
The 1,400-square-foot Greenwich Village residence has two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a wood-burning fireplace. It features furniture from different periods, and vintage lighting and mirrors. Since that is oriented to the south, this apartment has enough bright light, and the mirrors accentuate that. Also, the apartment is equipped with the latest technology, such as electric blinds and lighting that is controlled via touch screen remote control.
In this apartment, particularly outstanding emerald green kitchen, with brass work surfaces, bathroom for guests with elements of black marble and pink onyx. In the living room, custom rose-colored wallpapers create the perfect decor. Mirrors with golden tones on the chimney above the fireplace, is ideal decoration for the living room.
The master bedroom, which is located opposite the living room, offers optimal privacy and its own wardrobe, with the entire wall that is covered with mirrors.
Unfortunately, the price of the apartment does not include the sophisticated furniture, but Diaz would be willing to sell it if a buyer is interested to pay more.
Wearstler described is as “a jewel box filled with colour and texture creating a contemporary take on old Hollywood glamour”.
