On 14 November, during the Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show, will be offered on auction a rare 1966 Lotus Elan S2 model, which once belonged to the actor and comedian Peter Sellers. To the star of The Pink Panther and Dr. Strangelove in June 1966 the car was delivered new, and driven by him and his wife Britt Ekland until 1969. The car has had three further owners, and has covered 65,611 miles, so far.
The car comes with the original paperwork with Peter Sellers’ name on it, and is expected to change the owner for the sum of 45,000 to 50,000 pounds.
