Gucci has chosen Shanghai as perfect culinary destination for its first restaurant. World’s first Gucci full-service restaurant is located on the fourth floor of the IAPM luxury shopping mall on Huaihai Lu, in the heart of Shanghai.
With this new culinary experience called the “1921 Gucci Café,” Gucci is paying tribute to its history, referencing the year of the label’s foundation. It took two years to complete and is accessible by means of an elevator from the Gucci store in the mall.
Design perfectly reflects the iconic brand’s style – every inch of the 1,180-square-foot space screams Gucci as the menus, cutlery and napkins are all conveniently emblazoned with the 1921 Gucci logo.
The restaurant features a wide variety of mostly Italian dishes designed by Chef Giuliano Dacasto. Prices start at 150 yuan for a two-course lunch, 300 yuan at dinner (just under $50).
