Here the first reminder that at this year’s Geneva Motor Show the Alpina B5 was displayed in a new Edition 50 release on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Alpine. Under the hood of this model is a 4.4-liter biturbo V8 engine boosted to 600 horsepower and 800 of torque, combined with the eight-speed automatic. Only 50 pieces of each Edition 50 variants were offered to customers, and since they are sold out in the meantime, Alpina has decided that the standard B5 Biturbo version for 2016 also get 600 horsepower and 800 Nm.
If talking about aesthetics, visual changes are confined to Alpinin aero body kit and a set of 20-inch wheels (tires 255/35 and 295/30), and there are a modified suspension, Akrapovic titanium exhaust system, the stronger braking system and trim interior (sport steering wheel, nappa leather …).
From 0 to 100 km/h, Alpina B5 Biturbo accelerates in 4.2 seconds and reaches a top speed of 328 km/h (Touring 5 km/h less).
And the price – Alpina B5 Biturbo Sedan costs €108,600 ($115,450) and Touring €111,900 ($118,960).
