If you thought smartphones reached their pinnacle, you’re wrong. R&D CORE Limited proved that with its concept for a foldable phone. It’s called Drasphone and it can be folded in a completely small device that is slightly higher than the average USB stick. The casing is made of several moving parts that overlap each other. The design incorporates a flexible screen without a solid frame around it so that it can be unfolded to a highly compact standard phone format that allows the user to check his messages, the time, the weather, other notifications, etc. or, alternatively, it can be folded to a mini-phone that is the perfect format for a pocket.
In both modes, some portion of the touchscreen is still accessible, allowing users to have app notifications and relevant data visible even when the phone is in sleep mode.
