There’s a new way to live in the mountains and it’s called LEAP (Living Ecological Alpine Pod). The passion for the mountains and for the wonderful natural sites of the earth is the driving force that unites all the people that contribute daily to the work and growth of LEAPfactory which resulted in design solutions that can solve the problem of infrastructure in the natural environment. Their modular shelters are entirely prefabricated and assembled off-site; they’re completely self-sufficient, and designed to resist the extreme stress of high alpine altitudes. You can choose between three styles.
S1 – Modular system for dwelling units with an high performance shell. The structural shell, a composite sandwich of resin and fibreglass, provides great mechanical resistance with a limited weight. Specifically developed for the exacting conditions of a high-altitude environment. Used for the Gervasutti bivouac on the Grandes Jorasses (Mont Blanc) and for the LEAPrus alpine station on Mount Elbrus in Caucasus.
S2 – an essential cabin, with a refined design, extremely flexible in its use. S2 is suitable also to temporary and seasonal uses. It can house numerous functions, linked to activities in the alpine environment, but also in the urban one, or to the spare time in general.
S3 – an innovative construction system developed from the important experience gained in working at high altitudes. The philosophy is based on meticulous engineering and a fully integrated numerical control prefabrication. Each component of the building is produced with very high quality, ecological and durable material. S3 is the optimal construction system for both temporary and permanent uses.
