In March next year, the V Palm Springs Hotel will open after a $15 million refurbishment, just in time for the Coachella and Stagecoach music fest crowds. Two-storey hotel at 333 E. Palm Canyon Drive, the former Curve Palm Springs Hotel & Resort will be transformed into a modern 140-room property that will combine the best of a luxury resort and a secluded retreat for a perfect getaway experience.
The property, managed by Filament Hospitality gains a “signature chevron motif” (which hints at a butterfly roof, from the looks of the renderings) and a “catering to your every whim” vibe.
Rooms are said to feature earth tones with accents that pay tribute to the local Cahuilla Indians, and each will have a work desk and private balcony or patio with porch-style swings. Decorative wall hangings, dreamcatchers and macrame works are expected inside.
Common areas include swimming pools and hot tubs, a poolside bar, 70-seat restaurant and a fire pit, as well as fitness facility all within the backdrop of the San Jacinto Mountains.
Morning yoga, music events and a hammock garden are also part of the plan. Room rates will start at $300 a night.
