Earlier this year in Milan, Louis Vuitton had transformative presentation of their “Objets Nomades” collection – leather homeware pieces designed in collaboration with some of the best established and emerging designers. Now, in conjunction with Miami Art Week 2015, the brand brings its Objets Nomades exhibition to the Louis Vuitton Miami Design District store. From December 3rd 2015 to February 10th 2016, visitors will have opportunity to enjoy in a new addition to the Objets Nomades collection – The Lounge Chair designed by Marcel Wanders.
This piece of furniture an unfolding and portable oasis for relaxation. The three individual modules fit into each other like a puzzle, yet when laid out create three distinct solutions – a chaise longue, armchair or pouffe” according to the designer. The chair is available in two colours – classic Louis Vuitton and turquoise with a possibility of being made to order.
First presented during Design Miami in 2012, there are now 17 Objets Nomades – from a hammock to a foldable stool to lights – all in noble materials and available as limited editions or experimental prototypes. To keep up with the tradition of offering innovative designs, Louis Vuitton has collaborated with some of the most creative designers working today including Patricia Urquiola, Maarten Baas, the Campana Brothers, Barber and Osgerby, Damien Langlois-Meurinne, Atelier Oï, Nendo, Gwenaël Nicolas, Raw Edges, and Marcel Wanders.
