The mysterious buyer from the Middle East has paid 275 million euros (more thane $301 million) for Chateau Louis XIV, the palace of 4,650 square near Versailles. This palace was built between 2008 and 2011, and is a replica of the castle Vaux-le-Vikomte which was built in 1656 by Nicolas Fouquet, former French finance minister. This stylish mansion is located near Versailles, and sparked worldwide attention for the first time in 2013 when Kim Kardashian considered it as the potential location for her the wedding to Kanye West.

Castle, among others, has ten bedrooms, a wine cellar with 3,000 bottles, an underground nightclub, and “meditation room” with the fish tank where is a huge sturgeon.
In addition to the palace, this sale included a large property with a garden, which extends over 23 hectares and a replica of Chateau de Versailles’ fountain with the gilded statues.
The investor was a Saudi Emad Khashoggi who hired 200 people to build “the largest home in the world.” Name of new owner isn’t yet known.
The previous record for the most expensive house in the world was a London penthouse that sold for the considerably lower price of $221 million.
