New York City will get one more skyscraper that will brake the mold. It’s about work of Architect Mark Foster Gage, an assistant dean at the Yale School of Architecture, who recently released his plans for a mammoth 102-story building in Manhattan. Located at 41 West 57th Street, the mixed-use skyscraper would be among the city’s tallest buildings. But what make this building so unique and special is external design which is inspired by hit HBO show “Game of Thrones,” a nod to character Daenerys Targaryen’s role as queen and mother of dragons.

Appropriately dubbed Khaleesi, the building will have Gothic-inspired ornamentation made using robotic CNC technology, carved concrete wings that extend from the building, and four enormous cantilevered balconies overlooking the city.
“I think that many of the supertall buildings being built in New York City are virtually free of architectural design,” Gage explains in a project statement. “Design is thinking of a great many things like how a building appears from different distances, or in this case, how to make each floor unique to the owner.”

The result of Gage’s workd is a 1,492-foot tower that fits 91 residential units along with shops on the 64th floor and a 4-star restaurant.
Khaleesi was designed with the purpose of breaking the monotony of the current panorama of New York, and as an example to all other skyscrapers of the lower part of Manhattan.
