In celebration of their 110th anniversary, luxury watchmaker Montblanc has designed and introduced their first ever pocket watch: the Limited Edition 4810 Orbis Terrarum Transatlantic Pocket Watch. The front deal of the watch features the Northern Hemisphere and 24 cities of the 24 hour time zones. It can simultaneously display local time and a “home” time, switching with a pusher located near the 6 o’clock mark. Inside, the watch is powered with Montblanc’s automatic Calibre MB 29.20 beating at 28,800 A/h (4 Hz) with a 42-hour power reserve, housed within a 53mm stainless steel case.
The watch’s movement is developed and assembled entirely in-house by the Maison’s watchmakers. Completing the pocket watch is a refined steel chain that has been crafted like a ship’s rope. This wish list worthy piece of design and engineering is limited to just 110 pieces, but no word on price yet.
