Next month in Phoenix, Arizona, RM Sotheby’s will offer at auction impeccably preserved extravagant roadster BMW Z8 from 2002. The car is best known from the film “The World Is Not Enough” in which the main role is immortal British secret agent James Bond. This BMW Z8, which is expected to change the owner for more than double the price compared to the amount that was paid for it in 2002 ($128,000), has only 885 miles on its odometer and is actually production version of BMW’s spectacular concept Z07 model that was first introduced in 1997 at the Tokyo Motor Show.

Z8 is powered by 5-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine that develops 400 horsepower, and is “borrowed” from the BMW M5 (E39). The transfer of power to the rear wheels is entrusted to a manual six-speed Getrag gearbox, which at that time was also used in the model M5. With an electronically limited top speed (250 km/h), Z8 from 0 to 100 km/h comes after 4.7 seconds.
