Perfect Spyker C8 Spyder from 2010 will be offered by Auctions America on April 1-3, 2016 at its Fort Lauderdale sale. The car is expected to bring $200,000 – $250,000. The Spyker being offered is spectacular, finished in Dark Sapphire Blue with a complementary blue leather interior. The front has clamshell-type forward hinging and the doors open in a scissor-like manner. The rear-wheel drive, midship design has a trunk area behind the engine compartment that is lined with diamond-patterned leather. There is a removable soft-top that allows open air driving for the fortunate passengers. A factory toolkit in a handsome metal case is also onboard.
The interior is finely finished in alloy and leather with the same diamond-pattern being repeated in the interior’s seats, door panels, sills and footwells. The dashboard features machine-turned alloy fascia that houses white-faced analog instrumentation, including a tachometer. The aircraft inspired theme is also seen with generous switches and lights in the cockpit. Other amenities include air conditioning, radio, tilt/telescopic leather wrapped steering wheel, racecar-type foot pedals, Xenon headlights, intermittent windshield wipers, tire pressure monitoring, remote keyless door locks, interior trunk release; power mirrors, windows, sport seats, speed-proportional steering and AP Racing four-wheel ABS ventilated disc brakes. Low profile tires wrap factory 10-spoke alloy wheels for maximizing its cornering capabilities and handling sustained high speeds. This Spyker is represented as being “perfect.” Reports indicate that less than 300 similar cars in this model were built; this one has been very well-cared-for and has less than 950 actual miles on the odometer. Spyker’s tremendous efforts are embodied throughout this striking platform.
