Finnish brand Iittala teamed up with Japanese fashion designer Issey Miyake for a new home collection. The exciting partnership is new territory for both companies combining both Scandi and Japanese values, showcasing quality craftsmanship through innovative design. Launching during Stockholm Design Week, this collection is set to take the interior world by storm through a range of glassware, tableware and textiles. It features similarly impressive techniques: origami-style coasters and napkins designed to keep their shape (even after being washed), and table runners and placemats woven so perfectly that the edges will never curl.
Aside from the linens, Miyake and Iittala created geometric platters with rounded edges and tall, minimal glass vases.
The Iittala x Issey Miyake home collection is available now at the MoMA Design store in New York’s SoHo.
