Gensler-designed Arts Club planned for the Sunset Strip have just been unveiled. Nine-story posh private club is backed by actress/lifestyle maven Gwyneth Paltrow and her business partner Gary Landesberg, who together bought the old Hustler Store property on Sunset last spring. It costs $2,000 to join, plus $2,000-a-year dues, at its London branch. The massive 132,000 square foot building will also house a private rooftop pool, a Japanese/Latino restaurant, lounges, eateries and dining terraces, helipad and more.
Not to forget the parking: there would be 220 spaces in a subterranean garage off Hilldale Avenue.
This club would be just a handful of blocks away from another expensive, exclusive club: Soho House’s Sunset Strip location.
The project still has a number of hurdles before it can break ground, so there’s no projected opening, but once Paltrow’s gleaming club goes up, it should be one of the hottest private clubs to open in LA.
