After launching Marc Jacobs Beauty in the US, the American fashion designer makes its debut at luxury department store Harrods this February, marking the collection’s official launch in the UK. The Knightsbridge store said it was the biggest color cosmetics launch in its history. The cosmetics range, a collaboration between the American brand and LVMH’s incubator Kendo, comprises of of chic shades, luxurious textures and targeted formulas, ranging from a £15 nail polish to a £250 make-up set.
Speaking about his products, Marc also added that a lot of shade names are references to movies, heroes, lines, and other iconic things that amuse him. So, no wonder why he has decided to name a lipstick shade after the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s daughter Princess Charlotte who will celebrate her first birthday on May 2. Part of the Le Marc lip crème collection, “Charlotte” is a deep rose-pink shade exclusive to Harrods.
The price is 24 pounds, or $34.
Harrods unveiled three big windows near Door Nine on Brompton Road dedicated exclusively to Marc Jacobs Beauty. It’s the first time that the store has done a color cosmetics takeover of the windows, and customers are invited to walk inside the space and experiment with the new collection.
