Porsche brand has prepared another version of the legendary 911 model, named 911 R, which will be made in a limited edition of only 500 or 600 copies. However, some media had earlier reported that the series has already been sold out in advance, even before the official promotion. Porsche’s director of product August Achleitner has previously announced that the 911 R have its premiere at Geneva Motor Show.
The Porsche 911 R will have 4.0-liter six-cylinder engine borrowed from the 911 GT3 RS (with 500 horses) and will be available only with manual transmission. The car has received the tinted lights, lateral black “Porsche” label, red racing stripes and black-and-white “chess” pattern on the seats. As things now stand, Porsche 911 R in Germany will cost about 190,000 euros or around $206,000.
