Residential building called “The House on the cliff” is a real attraction in the Spanish province of Granada. The house covered with corrugated tin roof in zinc color is designed by architects by Jaime Bartolome and Pablo Gil for a young couple who bought the land on a slope. Many called it a contemporary cave because it is dug in the steep cliff overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. The architects point out that the shape of the house and the roof produce classical aesthetic ambiguity between the natural and the artificial.

“Something between the skin dragon placed in the ground when viewed from below and the waves in the sea when viewed from above,” the Gil and Bartolome.
This strange house indeed benefit from the location, given that the soil temperature is about 19.5 degrees Celsius throughout the year. In addition, a large duplex living room opens onto a terrace with swimming pool while three bedrooms on the second floor overlooking the sea.

The house was built in 2015 in the midst of severe financial crisis that hit Spain. The architects point out that due to the economic impacts decided to avoid the traditional mechanical system of construction which replaced for hours of hard work.
The roof is formed by a double concrete and retaining walls which are arranged at a distance of 14.5 meters.

Designers add that the house can accommodate up to 70 guests and that this structure shows that with the creative idea solutions is really possible to get to the home of your dreams at an affordable price.
