Gooding & Company has previously announced that at the Amelia Island auction sale will offer 1961 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spider model, which had a pre auctions estimate that will change owner for 15 to 17 Million US dollars. The auction was held in the meantime, a new owner for this Ferrari paid a bit more than the predicted sum, $17,160,000.

Total were made only 56 copies of these car, with the unique design of which is normally credited to Scaglietti. The car is powered by 3.0 liter V12 engine with 240 HP, mated to a four-speed manual transmission. We should note that car has Rosso Cina(China Red) red exterior color, black leather interior, Abarth exhaust system, RW3591 Borrani wheels, Pirelli Cinturato tires and Veglia instruments.
