Why just listen to “Life of Pablo” when you can wear it? The album, which was released on February 14th is supported with a pop-up shop in New York. Rapper Kanye West tweeted Thursday afternoon that a “Pablo” pop-up shop will be set up in New York City this weekend. The shop will be open from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. ET on Friday and from noon to 8 p.m. ET on Saturday and Sunday.
The grand opening of Pablot pop-up shop, on Friday draws crowds forcing the closure of SoHo district. Police officers eventually had to shut down an entire New York City block due to the overwhelming turn-out of supporters that arrived to Kanye’s temporary fixture.
A photo posted on Twitter by Kanye displayed an empty cobblestone street with a police presence and a crowd of fans fenced off onto the sidewalk.
Prices for Kanye’s coveted line were flexible as well, with Entertainment Weekly reporting that items of clothing were found priced at $35 and even $400, but customers were restricted to purchasing just two items each.
West has previously opened pop-ups to promote his album “Yeezus” and his joint album with Jay Z, “Watch the Throne.”
