Actor and Evanston native John Cusack has listed his Malibu ocean front house on sale. Spanish-style beach house along a sandy stretch can now be yours for $13,5 million. In late 1999 Cusack paid $2.1 million for the house, meaning he will amass considerable fortune if sell for an asking price. When you enter a walled, gated and trellis-shaded courtyard, you’ll be welcomed with the 4,660-square-foot multi-level residence with three bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms.
It also features a double-height living room with fireplace and an open kitchen, and what listing details call a “Master level” – encompasses a private balcony, office and master suite with over-sized bathroom with a two-person soaking tub set into a tiled arch.
According to listing descriptions, on the upper floor two potential bedrooms are used as a gym and the lowest level offers a dry sauna, full bathroom and direct access to the beach.
Multiple sets of glass sliders open the living and dining areas to a house-wide, glass-railed and partly covered deck with coastline vistas and head-on horizon view over the ocean.
This Cusack’s Malibu home is just two doors east of a 1,315-square-foot house that actor and comedian Adam Sandler has owned since 2001.
