Aston Martin has prepared a new version of the Vantage model, with the addition of GT8 in the name. It is GT8 Vantage inspired by the GTE racing car, with which the Aston Martin is competing in the World Endurance Championship, and the emphasis was on reducing weight. There are a lots of elements made of carbon fiber, a lightweight exhaust system and battery, magnesium wheels and the new aerodynamic package.

The Aston Martin Vantage GT8 is about 100 kg lighter than the standard car, and has the 4.7-liter V8 engine enhanced to 446 HP making it the lightest and most powerful V8 Vantage ever made, mated to a six-speed manual or seven-speed Sportshift automated manual transmission. The plan is a limited edition of just 150 copies, and the price is 165,000 pounds or about $234,000.
