Alpha Piano has partnered with Porsche Design to create the mPiano, a keyboard revolution in an elegant design. mPiano is a touch-sensitive keyboard with adjustable key characteristics. The “m” stands for mechatronic piano. Beneath each key is high technology in the form of adjustable actuators that make the resistance and thereby the perceived weight of the keys adjustable. Moreover, the surfaces of the individual keys are touch-sensitive and can thereby be used as a controller.

mPiano is currently concept study, but on the way to series production. It has already won a Red Dot Design Award and Lady Gaga has reportedly ordered a unit for her next tour.
