The University of Cambridge introduces business program that is one of the most expensive degrees in the world. The “Doctor of Business Degree” is a doctorate of business and will cost students £80,000 ($115,000) in the first year, £50,000 ($73,000) a year in the subsequent three years with a total cost of £230,000 ($332,000). The new four-year doctor of business degree, to be launched in October 2017, is aimed at the “most senior leaders around the world” and is expected to attract small classes of “one to two” students each year.
The proposal has been submitted by Cambridge’s Judge Business School and is backed by the university’s general board education committee. For the plan to go ahead, it will have to be approved by the university’s governing Regent House on 24 May.
