The Macallan Six Pillars Collection is a range of six whiskies that were born in collaboration between The Macallan and Lalique, unifying the Master of Crystal with the Masters of Spirit and Wood. Two years after debuting the fifth decanter in their Six Pillars range, the Macallan has completed the series with the launch of the Macallan Lalique Peerless Spirit. This 65-year-old single malt whisky is one of the oldest and rarest released by the distillery.
The Macallan Lalique Peerless Spirit’s design is inspired by the blown and pinched technique used to create famed Lalique perfume bottles. Along with other five from the Macallan In Lalique Six Pillars Collection have all taken their inspiration from a design or a specific technique found in René Lalique’s heritage.
A limited edition of only 450 individually numbered final release decanters will be priced at $34,330 (£23,500) and is available from 1st July from specialist whisky retailers, including; Harrods, Hedonism and The Whisky Exchange.
