Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas announced the latest project in the group’s expanding portfolio in the island country of Fiji, which is sheduled to open late 2017. This small archipelago in the South Pacific is comprised of 332 islands and nearly one million inhabitants spread throughout the major islands of Viti Levu and Vanua Levu. Known for its idyllic crystal clear waters, white sandy beaches, thick tropical forests and excellent climate, Six Senses Fiji is located in a magnificent secluded bay on Fiji’s Malolo Island. The private golden sand beach frontage stretches over 2,100 feet (650 meters) in length.
Six Senses Fiji will offer 26 spacious pool bures (villa) all with private plunge pools and the bures range in size from 1,200 to 1,600 square feet (110 to 150 square meters) including interior and exterior space. There are also 60 luxury residences (3-, 4- and 5-bedroom) all with private pools and situated on the west side of the island where they enjoy the idyllic Fijian sunsets.
The property will include a superb range of culinary and beverage offerings, including two restaurants plus an outdoor pizzeria and grill, three bar options, a gourmet food market and a walk-in wine cellar and tasting table, all set amongst the tropical landscape.
Six Senses Spa Fiji is featured within the resorts wellness village, where guests will enjoy a layered approach to wellness that unites a pioneering spirit with treatments that go beyond ordinary. The spa will feature the multidimensional Six Senses Integrated Wellness program which starts with a wellness assessment that evaluates a number of different and important bio-markers. Results allow the spa team to determine behavioral and lifestyle change and create a personalized program based on the needs of the guest.
The resort will also include a treetop yoga platform, state-of-the-art fitness gym, recreation club house with flood lit tennis and a comprehensive Kid’s Center. Other recreation activities on offer will include world class surfing, boating, sailing, diving, snorkeling and sea kayaking. Also, two full-service marinas are located within the resort and will be available for guest’s private yachts, as well as for charter leisure boats.
