ECCE Cycles, a Belgian concern of master bike sculptors liberates itself from the set codes to take form to another level. With the work of the designer Pierre Lallemand, ECCE Cycles has given birth to unique and exclusive products, with elegant, sporting curves that open up the boundaries of aestheticism to new horizons. Two distinct ranges accompany each other offering unequalled comfort.
For the Opus Wood, ECCE Cycles has chosen to use walnut, maple and pine, which are aesthetic, rigid, and light woods, already used for the construction of boats. This natural material enables an intellectual and gracious approach.
Opus Carbon range include two models: Opus Sport and Opus Cruise. Carbon is a material that is already used in the manufacture of bicycles thanks to its properties of robustness and lightness.
A completely black aerodynamic look, with a gloss paint finish on the carbon frame and matt accessories make the Opus Sport a piece of refined sculpture. The bicycle’s technical equipment confers upon this redoubtable warrior ease of use in the urban environment as well on the most demanding winding roads.
Opus Cruise combines leather and carbon with a very particular elegance, offering citizens of today and of tomorrow something rather significantly more than just a playmate. The metallised black paint is contrasted with the chrome elements and touches of brown leather.
If you want one of these retro-futuristic bikes, it ought to be ready by the beginning of next year. A company rep tells that prices start at €9,500 (about US$10,798) for the two carbon models, while the wood will go for €15,000 to €18,000 ($17,049 to $20,458).
