The main common thing for the Swiss watchmaker Frédérique Constant and an Oscar-winning actress and Goop founder Gwyneth Paltrow is commitment to charity work. So, no wonder why last Baselworld, the Swiss watchmaker Frederique Constant announced its new global charity ambassador Gwyneth Paltrow. Now, they are supporting DonorsChoose, with a new international charity advertising campaign.
“I am very proud to be Ambassador of the Frédérique Constant Charity campaign,” Paltrow said in a statement. “I think Frederique Constant is a wonderful company and we are all aligned in our passion for charity and giving back. Its amazing to be able to work with a company with a strong value system.”
The campaign, shot by photographer Tom Munro, shows Paltrow relaxing on a plush couch in a sleek, minimalist setting. The promotional shot also features two timepieces from the Delight Automatic Collection, one in a rose gold stainless steel polish and the other in silver.
Classical, elegant and feminine, these two new models feature a unique simple and discreet dial. With just two hands and Roman numeral indexes, the guilloche dial looks slick and it is easy to read. The mother of pearl outer-ring picks up and plays with the nuances of light, which compliments every detail of the Delight Automatic.
Assembled by hand at the Frederique Constant manufacture in Switzerland, the Delight Automatic is powered by the precise and reliable FC-306 automatic calibre.
This thin movement beats at a frequency of 4 Hz (28’800 alt/h) and has a 42-hour power reserve. The 25 jewels and the oscillating weight are revealed through the sapphire case back.
$50 for every watch sold from this new Classics Delight Collection, will contribute to support the DonorsChoose association, involved in supporting education for children.
