Historically linked to the classic automobile, including the famous English Austin Healey, Frédérique Constant devotes a collection of stylish and sporty watches called ” Vintage Rally “. This year, the factory is the official timekeeper of the legendary Peking to Paris Rally, which started on June 12 at the foot of the Great Wall of China and will arrive in Paris on 17 July. Created in 1907, it is one of the oldest motor races still held today.
To celebrate this partnership, the House has unveiled the Vintage Rally “Peking to Paris”, a beautiful limited edition of 2888 pieces inspired by this transcontinental race over 13,000 kilometers grueling for both mechanical and men.
Its tripartite casing of 40 mm diameter is made of stainless steel with a polished finish. The bottom has a remarkable design with a detailed reproduction of the map of the Peking to Paris Rally. It is complemented by an elegant anthracite leather strap with red stitching. Protected by a convex sapphire crystal, silver dial is enhanced with a burgundy colored circle that emphasizes minutes of the railway. Voluntarily minimalist, it displays a perfect legibility of the time with indexes and hands treated black and luminescent and a discreet date window.
The watch Frederique Constant Vintage Rally Peking to Paris has a proven and reliable engine, FC-303 caliber with automatic winding, which has a power reserve of 38 hours. This limited edition is presented in an elegant box accompanied by a plate retracing the route of the Peking to Paris Rally 2016. Note that two copies are reserved for the crew who will win the race.
