Department Q by Aston Martin has launched a special V12 Vantage S, commemorating the 80th anniversary of the first flight of the Spitfire fighter aircraft. Series of this Aston Martin was limited to just 8 pieces, the price is 180,000 pounds, while the delivery announced for 18th October this year. The car was in a special “Duxford Green” color, with yellow accents (grilling, the sides and calipers), with a front spoiler and rear diffuser made of carbon fiber, as well as Spitfire 80 logo on the headrests.
Customers will receive Irvin helmet and plane glasses retro release, while no changes under the hood. There will be a 6.0 liter V12 engine with 565hp, enough to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and top speed of 330 km/h (a little way off the Spitfire’s 522km/h).
All 8 pieces will normally be delivered to customers in the Imperial War Museum in Duxford, where the owners will be able to take a ride in a Spitfire plane and to test their cars on the runway.
