All lovers of Moët’s “on the rocks” Ice Imperial Champagne can now order their favorite chilled bottle to be brought on their doorstep. Sorry, but not all lovers, just those who live in London. Moët & Chandon has launched a one-hour Champagne delivery service for all your emergency Champagne needs. Londoners can choose a chilled bottle of Moët Ice Impérial or Moët Ice Impérial Rosé brought to their doorstep within the hour accompanied by two glasses filled with ice.
Intended to “ignite spontaneous celebration this summer”, users can book the service online choosing the hour and day that suits.
The first rosé Champagne produced with the intention of being served over ice, Moët & Chandon’s Ice Impérial Rosé NV was launched earlier this year to partner with its Ice Impérial Blanc NV, launched in few years ago. Blended by Moët’s Chef de Cave Benoît Gouez, Ice Imperial Rosé NV comprises a blend of 45 to 55% Pinot Noir, of which 10% is red wine, 35 to 45% of Meunier, of which 10% is red wine, and 5 to 10% Chardonnay. Around 20 to 30% of the blend is made up of selected reserve wines.
Its dosage is 38g/l, which Gouez said not only gives the wine its structure and personality but also “helps create and maintain the Champagne’s perfect balance when it meets the ice cubes”.
The Moët Ice Impérial costs £80 ($88) and the Moët Ice Impérial Rosé costs £85 ($94).
